character designer & storyboarder

The very first episodes of Adriana’s story developed in a bustling and vibrant Mexico City. She spent much of her childhood surrounded by different cultures, traditions, art, music and most of all, animated shows and films from all over the world. She spent most of her time drawing everything she saw, experienced and loved. These early years worked as a catalyst for a career in the arts.
She first applied for a job in the industry during a visit to the Walt Disney Animation Studios in Florida, where she was unfortunately rejected… because she was 6 years old. But she didn’t give up.
Fast forward a few years later and several more inches in height, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and started a professional career in the animation industry. Over the next years, she worked in layout, concept art, storyboard, prop and character design for a couple of animation studios, working on local and international productions for movies and t.v. shows.
With the desire to expand her knowledge in the field, she pursued her MFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design where she participated in various award winning student films.
Upon graduation, she moved back to Mexico City where she worked as a production designer in an animated series and at the same time, taught as an adjunct professor in Universidad Anahuac. Soon after, she returned to Georgia, hired as a full time professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she taught a wide range of subjects, such as character design, concept development, professional development and many others.
Adriana’s passion for art has continued to grow, as she aims to create meaningful stories and compelling characters to hopefully inspire others, just as they inspired her.
